100 of those were outside at 3.00pm. It wouldn't have hurt to delay the kick-off by 5 or 10 mins to allow everybody to get into the ground. The organisation was poor at yesterday's game; only one turnstile open and one gormless steward attempting to direct traffic. I'm glad I arrived reasonably early.

When i arrived, there was only two people ahead of me in the line for the turnstile, but it still took 10 minutes to get in.I think it would have been sensible to employ someone on the gate who was actually capable of handing people the correct change from a £10 or £20 note.

I know out own Mr Cantle is not the quickest at getting people through the gate at Brimsdown, but at least he can add up,as was demonstrated during his appearances on Countdown last year.

Just got in to see there are some upset folk - so, I offer my sincere apologies to anyone who suffered in the sun at the gate yesterday - If you had seen me you would have noted the ever decreasing hair owing to panic over lack of "help". I found myself to be three very important helpers down as they did not pitch up on the day - two of them were due to assist Margaret. She isn't " dodgy", she just wasn't amused, so if that total lack of humour was taken out on anyone - sorry again ! One goes into these big matches with plenty of plans and ideas of what action to take in emergencies but it can still go wrong and , with my Vice-Chairman and I going onto the pitch at 2.45pm I just could not be in two places at once. Our best can be better ... and will be ! Mind you, at her age I don't think she minds being called a " bird " !

Mr Chairman, your highness, sir, Guv, please pass on my most humble apologies to your good lady (if she has read this), no offence meant, was not aware of the circumstances, why was there nobody from Barkingside assisting?

I take it her accent & the Abbey strip had nothing in common (joking!)!!!

Many thanks for that, in fact, Barkingside were exemplary in everything they did for us on the day and we are most grateful to John Taylor and his wife and all their staff for helping us as much as they did... oh and by the way, it is a standing joke with Waltham Abbey that, with Mrs LC's affiliation to a certain team in Scotland, the Abbey strip is like a red rag to a bull !

Mrs LC has always been very friendly to Little Miss Happy. Mind you I didn't realise she was Mrs LC!!! If she wants to be called a bird, here goes....

I didn't quite catch on to what you were up to on Saturday and thought you were both the finalists in the penalty competition taking a somewhat long run at it, then when Gazza seemed to trip ( gremlins at work ) over the edge of the penalty area I realised what it was all about by which time you had reached safe haven of the onion bag !

I have always been impressed by the fun and entertainment you all get up to prior to games which always makes visits to Brimmo so enjoyable.
