I think it was good to see such a great cross section of Kent Football.From the hierachy of the Kent County Football Association (all of whom were happy to chat and reminise about the past,not just about Paul but Kent football generally)to ex Margate players. I had a quick word with Phil Collins.Still top man IMO.Saw Porter,amazing how every one was making a bee line to shake hands with him!!and of course all the fans,in the first half,Dover shirts ,Margate shirts,and Folkestone shirts all standing on the high terrace behind the goal together. TREMENDOUS!! Even the sun shone for all the match,But what I will remember is at the end after the Cup and medals had been handed out Young Sykes Junior Bless Him in his Mums arms waving to every one. Puts all else into perspective.It was an honour to be there this afternoon. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

If all the people I saw today in Margate shirts (many of whom I have not seen for yonks) turn up next season we will average 600 at Hartsdown no problems.
