Next season's squad

So what additions to the 11 are we looking at?

Of these 7, 3 could already be part of the present set-up, including Nick Roddis, if he is not solely involved with the coaching side next season. Perhaps a squad of 18 is a bit optimistic, however we can but hope. The one thing we must have, though, is a leader running things out on the park.

We have the nucleus of a great side here. It is young and there is no doubt in most people's minds that it is going to get better and better. The fact that at least 11 of this year's squad are staying says everything.

Here's looking forward to the 2005/6 season, it's going to be a good one.

I'd like to see Dean Hooper stay even with his appalling disciplinary record.

We also need a Steve Watts type centre forward to partner Lee Clarke.

Apart from that, yes, a midfield general would be nice especially if Ram leaves, and a quality central defender to replace Elphick.

Hopefully Ibe will want to stay.

Elphick will be playing a lot of 1st Div football next season I suspect. Although I heard a runour that his younger brother may be joining us on a season long loan and he's meant to be even better.

Hooper staying would also be good but he is one of Castle's mates and was close to leaving after he did, however as Castle is still involved in the club it may help him stay (it'll be about the only good thing Castle would of done)
