Lets not overlook todays game

So todays game may have meant little to both sides but believe me those that were there should have noticed two teams still going all out for a win. The result may not be important but the way in which it was achieved was heartening. O.K so maybe we wont have many of theses players here next season but the manner in which this side won the game deserves some credit. They pushed us back a lot in the first half but the defence held firm and soaked up the pressure. We then started to come at them and but for the last 5 minutes I think we had them under control.

It may not have meant much, but no-one out there from both sides DIDNT want to win it.

We did, and did it in style. Good bye for now to the conference south but we shalL return with performances like that. Our former glory days are not far away. Well done to the players today and all year.

Cookie I'm equally pleased we won but if you think we won with style then you must of been at a different game.

We did a good job and that shouldnt go unnoticed. Is that more to your liking. Maybe "with style" may have been a little over the top I grant you.

We got the win. In the second half there was a period of about 15 minutes where we didn't manage to get the ball in their half. I found myself counting daisies!

On the other hand, though, Richard, I thought you became a tad more animated at about the time Che scored!

 

The lads fought a good fight, and gave us some good cheer at the end. Ross' goal was a blinder.

 

Cookie, there were four of them. Three were very good ones and one a bit tatty.

No, Cookie, just banter. The lads did us proud yesterday, and it was a very good way to end the season. Talking to them last night, it meant a lot to them all too.
