Walk pictures!

Great pictures from the last day of the walk Ian, I'm just sorry I couldn't be there with you boys to do those last miles. The cruel thing is that waking up this morning, my feet could probably manage it now, though it would need a fair amount of Craig Lewington motivation. Given that I'm unlikely to upload the picture I took of myself after you guys set off on Saturday morning, I use the following photo to represent how I was feeling at the time

I was absolutely gutted and was still pretty emotional when I got on the coach at Wexham Park. To have got through 50 miles and not be able to finish the job was devastating, but thank you to everybody for the support you gave me and to Ian and the boys for forcing me to join them through the gates into Worthing's ground.

This morning on reflection I'm looking at the positive rather than the negative. I never thought I'd manage half distance let alone 50 miles. I'm so pleased that we did that last mile and a half on the Friday as getting up that hill was an achievement in its own right but to do that after 48 miles of walking and hurting as I was at that time was unbelievable.

Well done Ian, Martin, Liam, Mark and Dom - you guys are fantastic and can be so proud of your achievements this week. Discounting Ian's awful jokes of course

You missed yourself off that list as you can be as proud as the rest of us. It was suggested that it wasn't possible for us to walk 20 miles for three consecutive days and you've averaged almost 17 on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. That's a fantastic achievement by any standards and so much more than many people would have even attempted let alone completed. You also did 27 miles of it alone which I couldn't have done.

We were all similarly gutted you couldn't join us on the final last leg but I saw your feet so understand it would have been impossible. Finishing it for you was all the motivation we needed on the final leg. Well, that and the three whisky's I had in the pub!

As far as we're all concerned six of us did the walk and six of us were there when we walked through the gates at Woodside Road. End of story.

Cheers mate. Nice to see some photos up from the walk already, though seeing my own damaged feet on a computer screen is not terribly good. It took a few painful minutes to get off all the strapping I put on them yesterday morning in an effort to be able to do the walk. Loving your signature by the way

Don't worry BFR - to walk that far was a super performance. As far as I am concerned and I am sure many others who sponsored you, your effort deserves the money for walking all the way, and you will get it - You did your best and as much as you possibly could, nobody can ask any more, except from the people who did the walk in 1923, of course!

Best wishes and hope the feet heal soon!

too right, to walk 27 miles is an achievement in itself, particularly in one day on your own so to complete 50 was amazing... as far as i'm concerned you 6 lads did the walk together and thoroughly deserve the money you raised...

Sadly there are no photos from Friday night on the John Henrys website. I was hoping to show Ian once and for all that that 'girl' was most definitely a bloke. The only reason he looked remotely feminine was because he was say next to Michelle McManus' uglier cousin
