Ex Seedal Knocker

I must confess, probably like many other Slough fans, that when i first saw Matt Seedal play, my first opinions were - can't head the ball, can't control the ball and was short on pace. But over the last three to four games I think he has been the most improved player in the squad showing that if you've got guts, heart and fighting spirit you can make up for any shortfall in ability and skill.

 

I would also like to say a special mention for two unsung players last night,

 

Firstly, Ryan Spencer

 

He was taking some stick last night, me included, but he didn't hide or go into a sulk because he made a few mistakes, he kept at it, improved as the game went on fought on for the cause and as far as i'm concerned can be proud of his performance.

 

Secondly, Glen Harris

 

He's only been back from a quite serious injury for a couple of games, played on that quagmire of a pitch on tuesday and in the final he ran his heart out. When he was substituted he looked absolutely knackered. late in the game, when he must have been wilting, he did a typically amazing piece of skill on the far side when he skipped past a couple of Hampton players. What a player !!!

agreed on all of the above except the seedel bit, never thought he was awful, but i will agree he played his heart out on thursday
