Good game of football some great tackles, no moans about Ref....interesting point though Mr LC. Bowers brought only two committee people but we had 13 passes through the gate. After speaking to these nice people (and i mean that, we had a great night) it transpired that our gateman did not know the rules and other clubs people took a liberty and used there club passes..poor show don't you think.............or am I just being pedantic at the end of the season.......

Its been a very long time since I last heard the word " perspicacious" - uttered to me by no less a personage than the late Sir Gerald Nabarro MP donkey's years ago in the foyer of the House of Commons. His stentorian voice seemed to give the word even more clout than it already has. Happy memories.

perspicacious

adj 1: acutely insightful and wise; "much too perspicacious to be taken in by such a spurious argument"; "observant and thoughtful, he was given to asking sagacious questions"; "a source of valuable insights and sapient advice to educators" [syn: sagacious, sapient] 2: mentally acute or penetratingly discerning; "too clear-eyed not to see what problems would follow"; "chaos could be prevented only by clear-sighted leadership"; "much too perspicacious to be taken in by so spurious an argument" [syn: clear-eyed, clear-sighted]

All is revealed.......

Shame about West Ham last night...Haven't stopped tickling my ribs all night, not that I remember much about it. Dropped into the Brit for a quick one at 11pm and ended up getting the last train home. Fell asleep to Brentwood and bloody cab home. grrrrrrrr.
