Mr Happy said: But who is Andrew?

A quick trawl on BBC News finds this:

"Andrew Rosindell is a right-wing populist... he has a talent for attracting publicity - he was famous for campaigning with his dog, Spike, whom he dressed in a union flag waistcoat. He is pro hanging and firearm ownership.

He is anti-euro, left-wing judges and most asylum seekers.
His memberships have included the Monday Club, from which he resigned in October 2001, and the Freedom Association."

Clearly the Freedom Association proved not right-wing enough for this populist fool.

BTW are there actually any left-wing judges? I think the nation should be told.

Who is he indeed?

Bl**dy Hell. I tend to be pretty right wing but this guy sounds like a total twat. Who would want more guns in our society? It is well known that the death penalty does not reduce murders. How can you ban left wing judges?

DON'T VOTE FOR ANDREW!!!!!

There is only one party that has come up with a sensible new policy and it is the Monster Raving Looney Party! They want to introduce a 99p coin. If you think about it, that is a really good idea. The amount of coinage wasted by producing 1p coins would be stopped.

Except that shops would then price everything at £xx.98

PS...The majority of judges do not hand out proportionate sentences for serious offences.Whether thats makes them left-wing,is another matter.

Judges hand out sentences in accordance with the legislation. They don't make the legislation.

I know legislation is the real problem. The government havn't got the room to jail everyone that deserve to be jailed, but even so.

The fella that was recently convicted of killing his ex-girlfriend and three others.Six months previous he was convicted of stabbing a man six times during a knife attack in a shopping centre. The man was in intensive care for weeks,he had his lung and his liver punchered. What sentence did the bloke get?

100 hours community service. Now can you honstly tell me that legislation was preventing that judge from handing out a tougher sentence,or that every judge would have handed out the same sentence.

How can it be a well known fact when we haven't had the death penalty since the 50's. There is no modern evidance to go on.

I know Andrew and I think the statements about him have been exagerated. He has done more for the Romford area in recent years than many previous mp's and councillors had done for the town in many a year!

He has got b*llocks! He tells it how it is!

Without knowing the full details of the earlier case (not just the extracts printed in our wonderful tabloid press) I can't possibly comment other than that the sentence would have been based on the evidence and on enquiries into his background and his previous record. Hindsight is a wonderful thing.
