Recipe for disaster..

I have a horrible feeling that any potential Step 5 play-offs (or not if your lucky enough), will end up more farcial than last season's Ryman effort to get things sorted. As somebody mentioned elsewhere, what about problems with contracts and holidays etc? Rumours abound that the Champions of the NCE, NWC and Midland Alliance will get direct promotion, with other club's hopes resting on potential play-offs, which will be a one-off match and not regionalised.

The FA is involved. Of course it will be a complete farce, in fact it already is. The Grand Plan has been changing all season long, There aren't even any dates for the evil play-offs yet.

Some leagues getting automatic promotion but not others? Surely there's a case for legal action there??????

This all stems from unrealistic ground-grading. Judging by average crowds around the non-league circuit, clubs should be allowed to progress (within reason) as long as their grounds are reasonably safe until they reach the periphery of of Conference North/South. Then stringent laws should kick in. All this 10-year lease lark and a minimum of 150 seats for run-of-the-mill non league sides who are happy to plod along is an utter nonsense.

I was looking forward to restructuring, but the whole thing has turned into a total farce.

Dead right Coup, I just had a bit of a rant about it on the Ryman 2 forum. What the hell is the POINT of covered terracing and stands in leagues where most clubs get between 0 and 50 spectators??? Whatis th epoint of floddlights - you can kick off at 2pm like they used to in the footballs with laces era! (apparently!)

Probably it has more to do with the egos and pompous self-importance of minor FA officials - beware of men with clipboards, I say!

All clubs below Conferenve, or even league, should resign from the FA and form their own association. That'll teach 'em.
