Seats behind the Wallace Park End?

I say segregate the seated fans and the standing hordes.

A ribbon of tape behind the seats ought to sort the inevitable class war that will erupt between the paying toffs in the seats and the skanky great unwashed (ie. the rest of you...erm, I mean us) who have to stand.

The club need to think about this before going ahead with it.

At lots of first division grounds, the standing section was at the front, with a raised seated section behind the terracing.

Mark my words, if the club put seats at the front of the stand, people are going to go in these seats anyway, and then either stand up because they want to be nearer to the action or stand up at exciting moments (no jokes).

It happens at Premiership and League games where people stand in the seated section and it will happen at our place. Come next season this message board will be full of people moaning about people standing in the seated section.

Never having stood in any prohibited section I wouldn't know buit I'll take your word for it.

Maybe if a person stood for the entire 90 minutes then yeah the stewards would intervene, but what usually annoys people is other supporters who sit and then jump up when there goal mouth action – it happens at lots of Premiership clubs and if your elderly it can be a bit annoying.

There is no way that you could put them at the back without completely rebuilding the stand to raise the back area so that anyone using the seats would be able to see over the heads of the people standing in front.

I know that there was a reason why you couldn't put them at the side, but to be honest I have forgotten what it was, it may have been cost, or possibly the restriction of the exit at the side in question.

Oddly enough putting the three rows of seats at the front actually reduces the cost of the work on the stand, and at the same time brings the ground up to LDV standard should we qualify in the future.

I agree with Fleet Loyal on this. Seats at the back, or on one side as per FF is best.

I think that it would look more professional and be more workable if the seated section were at the back of the End, being slightly raised with some kind of barrier to act as a divide. Entrance to this section should be via the steps at the side and back of the stands. There would need to be walkways at various points in the section to adhere to fire and safety regulations.

The terracing section obviously at the front, with entrances and exits at both sides, obviously at pitch level.
