A worrying Summer ahead

Recommended Posts

Who else, like me is very concerned regarding the recruits that Liam Daish will be capable of bringing on board this summer?

I have heard that he is concidering retaining the likes of Pinnock - which leaves me totally gobsmacked !

Although James runs his heart out, he is no-where near a Conference level player, but Daish seems to rate him, playing him regularly at the end of the season.

As I have voiced before, Daish has no Conference experience and from the guys we have heard he is trying to sign (from Welling etc) things look grim.

We can only assume he was appointed because his wage demands were less than other applicants for the manager's job ?

I only hope that if (and when) we get off to a bad start next season the Board acts quickly before we get too deep in the relegation zone.

At the last game of the season, this was the feeling running through the terraces - no confidence whatsoever in the man.

Team selection - odd, tactical awareness - almost zero, ability to attract quality players - almost zero.

I just hope we are all proved totally wrong.

Positive thinking there then... let's sack the manager before giving him a fair crack of the whip and start a worrying trend seen only in Manchester City during the 80's and Real Madrid erm, every season!

If the board were that worried about a manager's wages, would they have opted to go full-time...?

Or it could just be that, with the season nearing its end and the club safe from relegation, Liam thought he'd give Pinno an opportunity to impress. After all, his fellow forwards have hardly been streets ahead of him in their level of performance lately, have they?
