The document that I presume you are talking about on the "Planning Permission " thread is dated 2003 when the original plans were put in. By my understanding, the council did approve the development in principal, but that was subject to the business plan being approved on a later date. It is the business plan that has prevented us moving any further forward. From what I can make out, going on previous threads and press releases, is, what is happening now is that the club have permission to develop the ground to the condition it was in before demolition, i.e terrace at coffin end and a temporary stand. The new development plans were to move the pitch approx 30 metres down towards the coffin end so that other buildings could be erected at the Hartsdown Rd end i.e doctors surgery. The Hartsdown Rd Terrace/bar was to remain until the new stand was built in front of it for use as club offices etc, and then be demolished later. Its not clear what the plan is now, because, if we go back to the original plan the pitch would have to be moved again. I am presuming that is why everything is going to be temporary. As I said before this is going on what has been said to us in the past.

Thankyou for your reply, i see what you mean i guess that they indeed will build the pitch 30 metres away from the Hartsdown Rd end,in the event that permission is finaly granted. With kind regards Angle.
