Nope, we were in the Alliance Premier League before, not the Conference. To be ultra-pedantic... <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

Either way, it means we have outlasted our previous run of three seasons in the equivalent division. Something to be proud of despite our reservations about next season.

I believe this question was asked before but I don't remember the answer (if there was one) but do we qualify in any way for a grant to help pay for this work?

OK fair comment I found it thanks, I just wondered if we still qualified for a grant as I believe we applied for one before, unless i'm mistaken.

Because the work is now being done on safety grounds we qualify for a larger grant than we would otherwise have done.

In that case, can we not get a grant for a couple of strikers on safety grounds, ie. most of their shots are in danger of hitting the fans...?

Good news where would we be without this help, I get a little (well to be honest) very cynical when I see all the obscene kind of money that is thrown at the Premier, when something like this happens it does restore your faith in some of the ways football is run.

Will it be a Football Foundation grant? If so, isn't a certain level of financial competence required before the grant is released (i.e. the reason why the building work at Northwich's new ground stalled part-way through)? Or perhaps this won't apply, because of the 'safety grounds' reasoning?
