Have you any details of the current 'runners and riders', Rob?

[From memory, the existing Committee, who are all standing down is: Ian Rogers, Barry Hilliard, Duncan McLeod, Chris England, Ian Bangs, Ken Allen, Helen Christmas, the chap who is married to the Clubhouse Manager, and Lucy Smith. Is Peter Knock on it? Apologies if I have omitted anyone. Some of those will be offering themselves for re-election, presumably.]

Nominations must be in by Thursday? Hmmnnn.

Hi CZ.

Ian Rogers is The Chairman, Barry Hilliard is Vice Chairman and, I believe, Director of Retail, Duncan McLeod is Director of Finance, Chris England is Hon. Sec., Ian Bangs is Director of Transportation, Helen Christmas is the token female - Oops - I mean she's a good person to have around, as is Ken Allen who is Deputy Director of Retail, Lucy Smith is Director of Internal Affairs and Discipline, and Vickie's husband is the token youngster and, probably, Director of bearded Yoof. Knocky does the scratchcard.

If Ron Toms is, indeed, on t'Committee, he will be Director of Raffles.

On a serious note, they all work hard on and between matchdays.

O.K, O.K.!! Apologies all round.

Helen Christmas is Director in charge of the Player of the Month competition.

[You try to help. You try to shed a little light on one the mysteries of the universe. You try to stimulate discussion and debate. And what do you get? Grief. That's what. I don't know why I bother.]

You know that I never pass on rumours, but I spoke to the Director in charge of Scratchcards yesterday and he said that both the Director in charge of Raffles and the Director who is married to the Clubhouse Manager will not be offering themselves for re-election.

Knocky will 'probably' be standing for re-election. Strangely, he wasn't aware that nominations must be submitted by tomorrow. I was pleased to highlight that small matter as we wouldn't want any embarrassing questions raised from the floor concerning the validity of the nominees, now would we?

Changing the subject altogether, Lucy Smith. I think that the Chairman of the Supporters Club chap does a terrific job, and I truly hope that he stands for re-election, but I wonder whether he could be encouraged to allow Lucy, assuming that she offers herself for election, to attend the occasional meeting of the Board of the Football Club in his place?
