If you mean centre back 2 i agree as Daly and Saulsbury have been immense. However i feel he is still the best out and out striker in the club. (No offence to Matt and Seedy but i see them more as holding forwards)

Because Mark we did not have enough fit centre backs available for that game and Hodges did a great job. His header off the line in the first half which also damaged Roy Essandoh was one of the best bits of defending I've ever seen and extremely brave too.

I'm not Hodgey, so I don't know what makes him tick (apart from winning money by betting on a horse called Super Chuck Martini).

 

As somebody who came to the club as a forward and who scored a lot of goals last season, then yes, playing in defence is probably very frustrating for him. However, Eddie has asked him to do a different job for the team on a number of occasions this season, and for the most part he has been effective in doing this. The team is more important than the individual and Hodgey appears to have got on with this.
