Please Help - A question about season 1993/1994

I know its a while back now but im hoping there is a fan out there who will know the answer to my question.

 

I found while looking through an old scrap book on the Conference a player turned out for Slough Town with the surname BOOK. I have no other details on this player apart from that he played in goal twice against Northwich and Bromsgrove Rovers.

 

Hopefully there is someone out there who can remember that far back and a goalkeeper called BOOK. The only goalkeepers i can think of with that surname is Kim Book and Steve Book, but I have found nothing to connect them with Slough (maybe i have missed something).

 

Anyone know his first name?

Steve Book it was. He was on non-contract terms with Brighton and therefore eligible to sign Conference forms. Signed primarily as cover for Trevor Bunting by Les Briley (hence the Brighton connection). Steve Book was actually the son of Tony Book and left Slough to join Cheltenham with whom he gained a Southern Premier and Conference medal. Unsure whether he is still there but certainly made a significant number of league appearances for the Robins.

Steve Book left Cheltenham Town at the end of season 2003/2004 and went on a free transfer to Swindon Town who have just told him that they will be releasing him in the summer.
