Todays game-early quick report

First of all,, it was another game where we did not deserve to lose.3-1 definately flattered Havant.

Nice compact ground and good programme.

Edwards at right back where he had a very solid game-looked alot better there than at sweeper and even overlapping in first half. They had a bit of a flying winger in Michael'flash' Gordon-he was quick and caused a few problems even for Green -not quite back to his speed pre-injury.

JK lucky not to concede penalty or a free kick on edge of box in first minute -a definate foul but got away with it.

Havant possibly marginally better in first half with slope reminiscent of the old HDP in their favour

Not much more to say about first half-think both sides missed a couple of half chances.

Second half until they scored was all Margate-missed a couple of decent chances and were pressurising their goal-we looked comfortable.

CK subbed Alex for Darren-possibly we lost a bit of shape and Greenie was upfield and tiring a bit and they broke away and scored.

The substitution had to be made, but typical of the way things have gone against us this season

Shortly after a good flick on from Darren and Che ran on and put it past the keeper-it loked simple but those chances stil need putting away.

Then the telling 5 minute spell Ross was playing superbly at the back with telling tackles and as we continued to press had a really good chance from a header which came to him at the right height but he powered it over the bar.

2 minutes later they broke again and Holdsworth was one on one with Ross-turned him and Ross fell/slipped and caught the ball-bit of an obvious penalty.

Just before end, another breakaway and third goal.

We were better side in second half despite conceding three.

Mom-until 78th minute Ross, but equally Gradley JK had good games and Bill Edwards was solid at right back (whty did'nt CK play him there when Greg was injured?)

We just lacked that bit extra in midfield to enable us to completely dominate and also hold fast.

Sad sad sad at the end.

Green and JK in particular upset ,though all show it in difeerent ways.

JK did not leave the centre circle for about 10 minutes-he really wore his Margate heart on his sleeve today-it was quite upsetting and emotional.Kevin R,Darren Annon and KP had to help him off the pitch

You support and play for a team and not a division however and this club wil grow stronger from this.

I can't believe a season where so many games could have been won or drawn yet we continued losing.I take consolation that our luck will turn for next year.

Nice to saee Darren Annon there today.

MM totally correct, the lads gave their all, it is very sad. We sang as loud as we could and gave them a big hand at the end.

John and Richard would have been utterly thrilled by Che's goal, a classic, Che-style, storm the goal effort.

Had a long chat with Darren, nice guy, is recovering well from his operation and is in rehab, and he also said that Greg's operation went well. Cares a lot about the team.

Fantastic support for your team you will win the league next year for sure.

Your no 7 showed just how much it ment for him. I was one of the stewards who went onto the pitch to see if he was ok he was just heartbroken.

Good luck next season

There were about 20 Hawks fans at the end applauding JK for his committment - both in the game and becasue he showed how much it meant to him. Those fans and JK should take massive credit.

Just a pity that Ian Baird their manager was unpleasantly lippy towards Rocky after their centre half and Rocky had a few 'afters'.

Not particularly pleasant to hear an opposing manager tell his players to 'get him and sort him out'
