I was behind the goal in the first half, and to me Drury went down way to easily for it to be given a penalty!

But he was tripped and therefore still a penalty.

The wording of the rule is wrong. It should be if a defending player touch's an attacking player and forces him to go down then it should be a pen. At the moment though it is if a defending player touch's an attacking player and he goes down then it is a pen.

So in this case it should have been a penalty, still doesn't make it the right desicsion though.

A very poor performance. Sadly, not a good advert for encouraging supporters back next season. Sorry, it has to be said: the commitment displayed by some players today was just not good enough. Burton wanted the points and were hungrier. I guess they are still smarting from their thrashing by Grays or possibly responding to satisfy their travelling supporters. Fleet were not robust enough and easily bullied off the ball. Unfortunately, when some Fleet players tried to match their opponents they weren't quite as subtle with it and were easily penalised by the referee. Passing was again woeful at times and Sigere must be fed up with trying to turn a poor and hopeful ball forward into a pass to a team member that can run with him - if only... No surging runs from midfield again. More often than not when more than three Fleet players got into the Burton penalty area it was the result of a free kick or corner. End of season, non event game or is that some players would be better suited to the levels played in a lower league. On this poor display the Fleet must be a relegation candidate next season. Something has to be done about it. Let's hope the new season brings with it a fresh attitude and a return to a hunger for results.

Adrian only got a contract till the end of the season (now) hope he signs for next year and i am sure he would go fulltime.

No no no, if this club is to progress with limited resources, we have to be very selective on full time players. Deane is not a quality player, and the youngsters have yet to prove themselves. It would be ridiculous to give them all full time contracts.

Correct, we shouldn't give a full time contract to everyone that plays well every now and then, only those that have done (or can do) it consistantly.

Sorry when I say we I mean Liam.

i was impressed by surey and deane today.
surey is always best when he starts.
harry was it you i heard saying you were angry at liam for not coming to congratulate and alan kimble did?

Hang on a minute, hang on a minute don't go around saying that mate people will say there is no smoke without fire. I didn't even know Liam didn't congratulate us fans for the season and even if I thought he hadn't I wouldn't say it out loud and in public. I'd think he'd probably say it to him later. No superb it wasn't me that said that. I thought you knew who I was as we met at York.
