That is utter B*****ks. The ref was crap we criticise him and then the league chairman asks us to remove posts. Well league Chairman can you now do something for us and every team in the ESl. SORT OUT THE OFFICIALS. I came up with an idea that may help but its been ignored. League Chairman you were at the game on tuesday and you must have been amazed at the ref and linesman performance. I don't criticise many officials. But Stewart Bookey was crap. And the linesman was crap. But one was good. If I write a report on what the linesman said to me will you fine and suspend him? Its an absolute joke when you can't say what you think after one of the worse referring performances I've seen all season. He sent our manager off without telling him.

tuesdays ref aside and im just speaking generally i think people complain about the refs too much. ok they are bad but we are in the essex senior league. if they were better then they would be at a higher standard.

saying that i think there are two or three very good refs in this league.

I agree Pinnicle. But I have never criticised a ref on here. But the performance on tuesday warrants it. I don't think the fact that we are in the ESL matters. A player and official from each club should have a meeting with all the refs and League officials . Taht way things can get sorted out. Ref's should learn what players expect and how frustrating things can get. Speak to the players like men, admit when they make a mistake, try have have some humour and ENJOY IT.

Unless the ref has played footie they haven't got a clue what the game involves.

I know i was just saying in general and not anyone in particular just that we are in the esl and the refs reflect that.

there are some refs you can talk to, some you cant, some have a laugh some dont. i do think that it goes to some of their heads.

i think all people want is consistancy. you cant complain if they are consistant.

i can see where you are coming from and im sure they do that in the prem? the only thingis as somone else has said if that ref gives a dubious pen (even if he thinks it a cert) people will start saying cheat etc.

maybe refs from the spartan league could train with us and our refs with them!

Pinnacle as ever makes a lot of sense. No comment on the game in question as I wasn't there but in general very few supporters and not many players actually know the laws of the game, and will be honestly biased (if you see what I mean) on actual events (yes he was offside no he wasn't etc) so refs will always get stick, it goes with the job. Having said that, I agree with Pinnacle again that this is Step 5, you get players of that standard and you get officials of that standard. But I have seen some peculiar things in this league.....

Anyway, my main point is that I object to the league interfering with this forum and asking for censorship. This is an independent forum with no official link to the league. It's like asking a newspaper or Match of the Day not to refer to a referee or a particular incident.
