RESERVES V YEADING

Rumour has it that you played two of Flackwell Heaths first team players already signed on Ryman forms and they are far from happy! More [censored] for you with the FA/Rymans about illegal player approaches I suspect!

And now coming back to the issue after having made a few calls, where's the problem?

If the players involved (Whom you refuse to name although I believe one is Lee McElligot) were signed on Ryman forms, which they are not, you would have a case.

Being as though the two competitions are entirely seperate, there is no issue.

So, when's the retraction/apology coming forward? It's an awful big statement up there which is false, and which is probably why you're hiding under a name rather than using your own.

Stop stirring and start concentrating on getting the Heathens back up and out of Division Two. They need all the help they can get.

Gary, interesting to read your comments, obviously based on information from your clubs administration. However, I have to tell you that both Lee & Gavin Mernagh[the second player concerned] are definitely both registered with us on Ryman forms. Both have been in our sides for the two league games played so far and both are named in our squad for the FA cup game today at Maldon Town. Under no circumstances should they have been playing for your club without at least some agreement between us. That's not to say we would not of given it for Lee who has yet to start a game for us, although we would not have been so keen to allow our first choice striker to risk injury three days before an FA Cup game. I guess Steve would feel the same about Sammy! With us not having a reserves this year, it may well be that there is a mutually beneficial relationship that could be developed here between our clubs in which we can keep you topped up with players when required, giving us the opportunity to provide more football for some of our players. I have no idea if this appeals to Steve but he knows how to get hold of me if it does. Finally, I see no point in dragging any other local club before blazers & ties over something like this, ideally ,we should all be supporting each other. I'm sure that of all clubs, yours <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/beerchug.gif" alt="" /> is more aware than most of the continuing difficulties just surviving, let alone developing. Best to you for the season.

Surely the only reason that Slough could be in trouble would be if Mernagh and McElligott were contracted to Flackwell, which I am fairly sure they are not. The Ryman League and Capital league are two totally different competitions. Also Adrian Blake played a capital league game for us last season despite being on Ryman forms with Gravesend last season - so I can't see a problem here i'm afraid!

Thanks

Chris
