I can't believe what has happened here and what I am reading!

 

It's a shame that FGR have been relegated because after what they’ve done, I and a few others would have looked forward to ‘greeting’ them at Stonebridge Road next season.

To be honest, most clubs will do what they can to avoid the prospect of relegation.

If the worst were to happen and we were relegated because of this rubbish, I'd rather see extra teams go up from the leagues below than 3 teams stay in the conference. Some of which should have been relegated last year as well.

We were discussing this very idea during the tea interval and the cricket today. Problem is if only Northwich go down, which league would you bring a club up from? The North or the South? If Northwich went down to the Conference North then promote two clubs automatically from the North and move the play-off places down one? Or perhaps the runner up from the playoffs could also come up?

This would stop all this "we are relegated, quick see if anyone’s breaking the Conference rules with their ground. Right, Dear Mr Moules..."

How about both? Both champions, plus the play-off winners from each of those two divisions, makes four teams. That way, there would be no need to play a final play-off between the winners of the respective North and South play-offs.

I wouldn't pay too much attention to one isolated poster - the vast majority of those of us who have been slating Forest Green on here have clearly been directing their anger at the club rather than its supporters.
