Jumping to conclusions arn't you? We were not the only relegation bound club to play at your place lately. Canvey when they played you were also in clear danger of going down I should find out the facts before you name clubs.

If you read my post again you will see that my comments are of a general nature.

As has been indicated on the confguide forum, Moules is quoted as saying "The onus is on the club to meet the deadline set", but this comment is ambiguous and could just as easily be about Northwich - especially as he goes on to talk about them and not us.

I see no reason why any other clubs in the league who have spent hard earned money to keep their grounds up to scratch should not have the right to query a ground which has had sections closed off which have seemingly been condemned. Fair play I would have thought that your ground was large enough to accomodate the unused bits anyway but rules are rules. If everything is fine as it now appears to be then the case is closed.

But an appology by FleetFanatic on confguide would be appreciated.

On the other hand, I see no reason why teams that have proved to be not good enough on the pitch should receive a reprieve. I personally feel that whichever club was responsible is irrelevant - the actions are devious, sinister, underhand.....

.....you can't blame me for thinking that Forest Green are responsible - you are the relegated club after all?

I see FleetFanatic is quick to slag us off on the confguide but not man enough to appologise on there.

Actually, I have been too busy sleeping all morning to even worry about your feelings, what with working nights this week.

Seems I'm not the only person being presumptious?

For the record, my exact words were 'The...gging you off'.

If the meeting was on 10 March, it would not have been any of the relegated clubs who queried the capacity.

Bizarre the club has not received a letter and all this is media stirred up.

If the total capacity of the other three sides does not achieve 4000 then not all the Plough End terracing would need to be rebuilt to reach the magic number.

Please excuse my ignorance but why is the minimum capacity set by the Conference League 4,000? There aren’t any teams which we could possibly face in the

Conference which would attract much over half that figure and for most our fixtures the ground is only ever 25% of capacity anyway.

Even the FA Cup fixture against Notts County only attracted 2,600 so why do we need 4,000? What kind of opposition would we need to play to attract that figure?

Realistically speaking surely a mid-table Conference outfit without any local derby fixtures would mean that attendances will remain well below 2,000.

Or is it just another one of those pointless rules which we have to abide to?

do they club always announce lower attendances for tax purposes or something? Used to go on at First Division matches all the time in the eighties and there have been a few occasions in the past at Fleet where we have been shaking our heads after attendances have been announced.

If the stand was fenced off on the first terrace step up from ground level, during work at the rear of the stand, then complete viewing on all four sides is valid and possibly a further hundred supporters could be squeezed in.

Dear FGR fan,

Irrespective of this thread, shame the great Paul Warhurst wasn't signed by you in time to play against us. I would have bought him a few beers in honour of his achievements for the (not so nowadays ) mighty Wednesday.

Please pass on my best wishes to the great man if you see him.

Cheers,
