Grays Game

Thought the scoreline was a little flattering to Grays last night. Up to half time, I thought we did ok against a team who are very clearly streets in front of everyone else in the league. It was always going to be difficult playing 11 against their 11 full timers but when you go down to 10 for almost the whole of the second half you are looking at damage limitation. In the circumstances, it says an awful lot that Lee Clarke even managed to pull one goal back.

It was also noticeable that they put out their very strongest team (i.e. the one that annihilated Burton in the F.A. Trophy semi finals), with the sole exception of Aaron McLean for Gary Hooper.

Fantastic news about Clarkey and Bazza. And, it goes without saying, about Lippo.

Next season is going to be a good one.
