Chelmsford 2-1 Billericay

Weve blown first spot have we? I suppose you could look at it that way, or you could look at it that weve achieved 2nd spot. I dont think any club thats been chasing a run away leader for as long as we have could be classed as having 'blown it'. By the same token you could have been said to have blown 2nd 3rd and 4th spots (and possibly 5th??). Or you could look at it as IW does and say that 5th (or wherever you come) is a good achievement and more than you expected.

I dont believe anyone on here has said well win the play offs without putting in any effort, in fact i dont think anyones said well win them at all. If us fans havent said anything of the sort, then Justin and the boys certainly wont have. We might have said that well probably be favourites, which we will. Home advantage with a home record as good as ours isnt to be sniffed at. Im sure your looking forward to being 'underdogs' against us if you do end up playing us at ours, but im sure were looking forward to it too. I think theres only one set of fans being cocky or blase about the play offs, and it aint us.

TC, I've not come across a more united club that Braintree in all my years. That said, IF we make the play-orfs, you'll still beat us comfortably. You know us, just playing Ricay is reward enough!

Anyway, back to that Southern League Directory, where the hell is Mangotsfield?

No thanks, underdogs win less often than, er, other types of dogs.

Studying Psychology and Criminology. Sounds interesting, but is actually remarkable dull as i discovered far too late. Anyway, its nearly over now. As you can tell i struggled to the library, but still aint doing any work. The isthmian forum is always a bit of a war zone, especially as its non registration. I get involved a bit more than i should, but its a all a fun game.

Studying criminology Cardiff. You should take a look at the squatters Donkey No.5, now that's criminal. I seen some [****!!****] players over years but he is shocking. Somebody re-hoove him. Also has an un-feasibly large head that is not in proportion with the rest of his body.

if both Mel and Goths were fit I would pick Mel. I know a few have expressed that they dont like it when he come out and uses his head etc but I think it works well for him and hasnt looked like getting caught out. I agree he could have done better with the 2nd goal last night but he has pulled off some amazing saves in games before that and indeed made 2 great save last night. Goths is a good keeper too, dont get me wrong.

As for your number 5. He was much better last night than when we last played you when he was truly awful and let himself get wound up. He wasnt pretty to watch last night and you knew what he was was going to do every time he got it but im sure his manager would say he did his job. by hoofing the ball away evertime he was defending his goal. I think the point being made here is that he is clearly not blessed with any skill, but agree his has a massive bonce.

That is probably the first time Mel has been put under any sort of examination since he's been with us, and he's been first class so far. All players are prone to mistakes and we'll put last night down to a 'curse of the safe hands award' that he's just collected. As for Goffs, don't know when he's back. Personally I'd stick with Capleton for the time being.
