This made me laugh....

from the squatters foreskin:

"Right, that's the niceties over with. What a bunch of sore losers they were afterwards. Nearly all kicked off in the bar 'cos they were crying over losing the title. Never seen anything like it. Still, it was only a few muppets. The rest were a very nice bunch.

The game? Cup-tie written all over it, especially for us. A last chance for this magnificent set of players to give the supporters something REALLY memorable this season. And WHAT a performance. It was super-human the way they pulled that display out of the bag. Every one of them performed to his limits and we DESERVED the win, no matter what any Billericay fan will tell you.

The support was incredible. It was Wycombe all over again. Outsang the home fans for the whole match. "You've lost that title feeling" ringing round the ground was lovely! At the end, it was like we'd won the FA Cup. Craig Edwards Snr jumping around like a lunatic; all the players going absolutely mental, whipping the supporters up into a frenzy; badge-kissing, shirt-waving, it was just one of the most amazing celebrations ever!

Northwood away? Folkestone away? Leyton at home? Forget them all. This was THE game of the season to remember.

On a sour note, I can't even begin to imagine what Capleton (the Billericay keeper) was thinking of when he jumped into the crowd behind the goal. He was lucky the City fans were so restrained. As far as I can tell, though I stand to be corrected, half-a-dozen kids at the front of the terracing were taking the mickey out of him at the end as he went to pick up his drinks-bottle. One of them threw the spare ball at him or something similar and he went mental, jumping over the wall into the crowd. The kids were out of order but they were still kids though! A nasty incident that could have been a lot worse".

Incredible support? Is he serious? Outsang the home fans? What? "You've lost that title feeling" ringing round the ground. The only thing 'ringing round the ground' was his boyfriends [****!!****]. If that's the best thier support can come up with, then [****!!****] knows what it's like when they are mediocre! If Mel Capleton gets a clump around the head from a CCFC supporter, then he's entitled to give some back.

There is one thing to be a sore loser but to be a sore winner is another!!!

Partronising is one of least words I could use for them. Yep they beat us, learned their lesson from the way we beat us by not giving us any space. Their two goals were offside but they can't help the officials now can they...that doesn't take away their teams efforts.

As for the behaviour of Mel, well, I thought that if a supporter throws something or attacks a player, that goes against the club. I'm not supporting Mels actions but you can't defend your supporters actions when they kick it off. Obviously, it must be different for Chelmsford FC (I refuse to use the "city" tag, another example of their "trip" into unreality). They called Yeading thugs, last night they proved that it only takes three days to learn THAT lesson.

Good luck to Chelmsford, last night meant a lot to them and that showed. I'll echo TC's sentiments, we should be proud that a club wallowing in a mid table postion celebrate beating us as if we were three leagues above them. It was their cup final, we're in the play offs, they aren't. Lets take that thought and let them have their 5 minutes of glory.

it really says it all if they regard that as their performance of the season. It was like watching the wimbledon of years gone by. yes, it beat us but we never performed last night and if any chelmsfords fans are honest we out played them in the first game. last night we were not thumped like we thumped them we just simply had an off night yet according to the ch'ford this was the best perfermance of the season. They deserved the win but neither teams performance was worth getting that excited about.

Come one, really don't expect such sour grapes from you. Gazza. Definitely not offside for either goal. Mel lost you the game on that second goal..and, he was provoked by a couple of kids, not hit or anything thrown, and reacted very badly.

By the way, noticed you choked a tad trying to announce our first goalscorer...thought the pint of guiness would have loosened them vocal cords of yours...

Edwards did the same when manager at Grays a few seasons ago in a meaningless match against Canvey. Have detested the guy since.

In fairness to Kingy he won't win no prizes for manners or etiquette but compared to Borg or Edwards he's a gentleman. At least his interviews with the press are entertaining.

Funny how people in glass houses continue to throw stones...Never seen a manager threaten another manager with physical violence when the oppo team have scored but Edwards did.

Funny thing was, Chelmsford supporters complained about Yeading being thugs!!! Talk about not looking too closely at home...still, it takes one to know one...that must be how Chelmsford can recognise a thug!!!

Yep, picked it up yesterday as I was the PA man for the Preddy (?) Essex under 18's cup final between Thurrock and Redbridge. Thanks a lot mate...enjoyed it.

(by the way, Redbridge won 2 - 1 and thanked Chelmsford for offering the [****!!****] that used to be their manager a new job. They may not be successful and may be relegated but the club is a happier place).

No I didn't...Lucky me...I did meet some charming and "drunk" Thurrock lads that were fighting over a pair of football boots...

Oh and there was crowd trouble at the Redbridge side as well...

All hand bags and sorted out but quite disturbing for a youth cup final...
