Andy's Testimonial

Recommended Posts

Unfortunately, a client of ours who I've never met has a Private Viewing of the Matisse Collection lined up for that evening at the Royal Academy (Yes, I know, I said "What??" as well, not being that cultured normally).

Since they have asked me along, I really cant turn it down.

Just typical though, that it happened to be the evening of the testimonial.

That should keep Jimmy happy then <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Hang on a minute...Rob and Steve left together now they are coming back together, they always seemed to work well together hmmmm I think we need Lord Chas 'I am a lady' and 'Justin Skinner is big in womens clothing' Webster to shed some light on this.

Why on earth is the club holding a testimonial match for a full-time member of staff?

ie Andy Ford

Testimonials were designed when players were very low paid and it was a gesture by the fans to repay the loyalty shown by a long term serving player.

The whole world has gone crazy !!!!!!

Be wary that this doesn't show up on 'Soccer AM' this Saturday morning!! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

Well, if this turns out to be the first step towards the two of them returning permanently, I certainly won't be complaining.

Cue memories of Perkins' goal at Accrington - what a strike!

Only 38! I'd like to see Portway and Cotter play in our Championship team and see how many goals they get against our current Conference team!

If Portway was to get a hattrick I'd sign him on pro-terms for next season!

Its a shame what happened to him at Gloucester - Had we kept him and added a few quality players around him does anything think we might be in the Football League by now? Maybe I'm just being too sentimental but I've never, ever seen a partnership like Portway-Cotter in the 15 or so years I've watched football at this level.
