Or when a certain website editor deliberately sent several Yeovil fans in completely the wrong direction after they had asked him for help?

 

Or when Fruitbat fell over the barrier?

 

Or when Fruitbat fell over the barrier again?

 

Or when we were trailing 2-0 to York City in the FA Cup at half time, pulled it back to 2-2, and then scored a winner in injury time, only for it to be ruled out wrongly for offside!!!?

 

Or when we won the league, having been 14 points behind Hayes at one point in the season?

 

Or when we played Leicester City in the FA Cup?

 

Or when we drew 0-0 with Arsenal in a friendly, and they actually fielded a FULL STRENGTH team including Nicolas Anelka, Dennis Bergkamp, Tony Adams etc etc?

 

Or when we played Spurs in a friendly and the programme announced a full strength Spurs team.. but they only had Youth players?

 

Or how about when Lazarou f-----d everything up?

Not a full strength Arsenal as the world cup players had extra time off but still very strong and they paraded the double trophies.

Alex Maninger in goal and E's should have won it late on against him.

Yes to all those apart from the Arsenal friendly. They fielded a team minus those players that took part in the 1998 World Cup (I think...). It was still a fair side though; Manninger, Dixon, Winterburn, Stephen Hughes, Remi Garde (remember him!) to name but a few and a forward line of Anelka and Wreh (what different career paths!). I think Rudi Hall and Russell Penn both played a part in the game and Daniel Alleyne really should have won it late on but for a great save from Manninger.

 

If I recall they went on to win the double that year. So much for pre-season form...

or the 3-3 draw with Wycombe Wanderers that made us Champions,

or Richard Cherry's hat-trick against Wokingham(?)

 

or Gary Abbotts hat-trick in the same game!

 

or Steve Terry's Penalty in the last minute against high flying Cheltenham in the cup that no-one wanted to take,

 

or the abuse Clive Walker & Laurence Batty use to get when we played Woking,
