The pitch will be OK. The ground has always drained well and it was not very often that we had games postponed. They are also putting in a drainage system, and with it being new I can't see it having to many problems.

Just a thought-there is a June conference meeting.

I just wonder whether they may change their minds as to whether a synthetic pitch will be acceptable afterall.

i think a few clubs are pressurising tem to allow them now afterall.

Mightily impressed today with the work carried out. Those big heaps of earth, grown over with weeds etc have all now been stripped of the top layer with just the earth showing ,ready for dispersing over the ground. This will be followed by the fresh topsoil whch will be delivered to the ground. Bulldozer seems to be helping in the swifter programme of events. Today you can REALLY see the difference. Worth a look if you are going past. Can almost see the bottom end of the ground as it used to be, minus the stands and goals, obviously.

More progress like todays and we wil be there in no time. Looking forward to the stand erectors appearing soon after May bank holiday.

Was at the football club this morning with misa dave and big ron and it seems that 40 odd men will be turning up on monday with bigger equipment to compact the soil and work on the perimiter fencing etc. It seems its all go up there. You lot will see a difference after next week i expect.

Well, I am sorry, but I do not think we are relegated yet. And while we still have a shot at staying up, who is to say that we won't get a bit of luck at long last? My money is on the team this weekend (figuratively speaking of course, I do not do betting with money very well). I believe they will win.

Brilliant to see the work on the ground though, isn't it?

Nearly all those mounds of earth have been used to scatter over the ground now and levelling off has been working well. Looking more like a football ground than before. Can now see from one end to the other. Good progress. Maybe a working "gang" called in soon. Possible Hungarian.

That hasnt been confirmed as yet but thats what has been heard.

Wednesday 27th. No movement today. All levelled out as best can be and I presume we are now awaiting the next stage to begin. Whilst I am sure everything is going to plan I sincerely hope there are not to many days being unused.
