Was Def Maybe in the top ten mate?

Went to bed before the Top 20 started but I taped it so I'll watch that tonight.

I'm guessing the Top 5 was as follows...

1. The White Album

2. Revolver

3. Abbey Road

4. Sgt Pepper

5. Rubber Soul

Though, by Steve's post, I'd guess that OK Computer may have been top album.

Great album, without doubt. Best ever? Hmmm... need some convincing!

Def Maybe made the top ten, I always rated what's the story as a better album.

I think it's a good sign that OK Computer was picked number 1, shows that Channel 4 must have been asking the right people.

OK Computer is easily the best album of the nineties for me, but music is all about opinions. But the chart reinforces the fact that I am right!

Yeah, I always preferred Morning Glory too! Weller said the same also. But Noel can't understand why it sold twice as many copies!!

Steve - I still prefer - Kid A!

Which reminds me - I don't have the follow up album to that (the one with Pyramid Song on). I'll PM you!

OK Computer is a pile of depressing bollox!!! I was astounded that it was No.1!!! Then again, lists, lists, lists...If you read Q, Mojo or any other "as chosen by our panel and our readers", you get a different No. 1 every month...it's a scam to get people who haven't got the albums to go out and buy 'em!!!

Yellow - Morning Glory was 20-something. Def Maybe hadn't been on by the time I went to bed.

Morning Glory was 15th. Fcking Coldplay -Parachutes was 14th!!!

Def Maybe was 6th. Revolver was 10th, Sergeant Pepper was 7th.

Not sure how The Libertines made the top 50. I feel they only got there because of the bust up between Pete Docherty and Carl Barat and Pete's drug problems.

that 100 greatest abum thing last night was absolutly rubbish. Watched the whole thing expecting to see at least one metallica album in there and there wasnt any to be found. The black album is one of the biggest selling albums of all time ( it was in the billboard top 500 for a decade I beleive). And with rubbish like AIR beating the king of rock n roll is an outrage. Stone roses should of been a lot higher as well!
