who agrees with me that gregory had a brilliant game on saturday. he won loads of headers and free kicks in pure gregory style no 1 does it better lol conference is a step to far for him now but i fink he was superb on sat

The best I have seen him play for a long time, I thought at times he has looked like a one trick pony (falls in front of defender) He had a great game on Sat.

The goal came from a header that Greggors won and knocked down to Lee. He won loads in the air and what he didn't win got us Free Kicks. Its clear that we need a younger greggors to play with Lee next season....but where do we find one?

 

Also thought Ollie was outstanding on Saturday as well....he always plays well when given the 'minton' role behind the front 2. Always commited in every challenge

I thought Gregory done ok on Sat, put himself about the park and did win the odd header or 2, however, its plainly obvious that to progress next season, we need a new more mobile target man to complement Lee's game. I would be nice to have more than 1 attacking option per game, I think next year Lee will find teams will be alot wiser to how good he is. My second point which probably most of you will disagree with is that Canvey look a better team without Jeff Minton in the side, not cut it this season...to slow and deliberate on the ball,doesn't get the time and space to run the game as he did in the ryman, not sure if its injuries or what, but for me I would have Ollie or Keeling in the hole.

 

Great win sat, as Jeff pointed out in the Non League, we certainly are not one of the 3 worst teams in the league this year and without the injuries we,ve had I think we could have finished Midtable....roll on next season.

Minton hasn't been himself since he has had that spell out with injury, Im sure he will be back to last seasons form soon, probably just needs the off season to recuperate properly.

He was injured apparently but those in midfield especially Sedgy were outstanding.
