Maybe its a money-saving exercise, so that Groombridge and Moore don't have to pay admission at away Grounds? <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

We all know what the first teamers are capable of, so it would add a little bit of interest to see what these lads could do at this level so why not play them? I don't see the point of them keeping the bench warm.

probably give them to newport so they can score a shedload of goals. and we will play siggy until he is too old to walk anymore. and sell roy, manny, saunders, lovellrouse, wilko and pullen and daish will play himself with kimble running around pruning his hedgehair.

I am starting to feel this has been a mistake by the bioard in appointing liam. It's cobblers about inheriting a squad. The squad he has inherited, he has no idea about. his substitutions are a sham of a mockery of a mockery of a sham.

If he brings in his own players, it should get better, but not enough to justify his appointment.

My comments weren't intended as an anti-Daish post. I'm not really in any position to comment on his team selection, tactics etc. seeing I've only been to 2 games since Andy Ford left. Daish has picked up enough points to suggest his doing a reasonable job.

However, Liam has gone on record as saying that the main aim is to get as many points as possible in the Conference till the end of the season - which presumably means playing his strongest XI.

Now the Fleet is safe, I personally feel this is the wrong approach - the last 3/4 games should be used for experimental purposes - trying out different tactics, giving the younger players an opportunity in preparation for next season.

Who cares if we get beat 4-0 if it means the youngsters get a bit of experience?

That would be fine if we were actually picking up shedloads of points but the truth is we have failed to score in four of our last six games...I wonder how many fewer goals we would have scored if Luke Moore had played instead of Siggy?

I think I'll reserve judgement on that until I see the players he brings in.

With our injury and suspension problems piling up, there's never been a better opportunity for Liam to give our leading youngsters a chance, even if in is just in the form of substitute appearances.
