Well done to Matt Murphy on winning his first POTM award. A total of 113 votes was a good turnout so thank you all for voting.

I will be presenting Matt with his champagne at next Saturday's game and proberly doing the vote for April at the same time despite the fact that it will obviously be before four of our matches have been played. This is for two reasons 1. it is our last Saturday home game and 2. I can then count the votes that evening and present the champagne to the winner at the Presentation Evening. Just seems the easiest way and, let's face it, by that time we will have already played 8 matches, as many as most other months in total.

See you all later.

ARASS - totally agree with you - In the past I have been fairly critical of Wilko because I believe there should be more to a players game than giving 110%. In April, the Ricay game apart Wilko has given his normal 110% plus he's made some great tackles and his passing has been excellant. Suffice to say my mom for April by a mile.

No it shows the best player of the calender month. That could just as easily be someone who was outstanding in one game rather than some one who was a little above average regularly. However the right man one because of his goals.
