So where will we go next season?

Recommended Posts

From above:-

Cambridge is now looking increasingly more likely, their nine points behind safety with a worse goal diff then Rushden who are at the moment safe. So they need to win all their games with Rusden losing all their games. If all games were to be 1-0 in Cambridge's favour it still wouldn't be enough.

Kidderminster are three points better off than Cambridge, if it comes down to goal diff between them and Rushden they could be down as they have a worse goal diff by 20. So if Rushden win their next game their safe, or if Rushden draw and Kidderminster don't win then they are safe.

Meanwhile from below:-

We all know Grays are up, from the Conference South, however from the north it is far from over. Southport currently lead on 78 points, Droylsden on 76 with Nuneaton on 75. Harogate Town can only come up through the Play Offs. Droylsden have a game in hand on the others so if everyone wins all their games then Drolysden will be up.

In the Play Offs Northern section apart from the teams I've all ready mentioned only Kettering Town and Altrincham can make the play offs. Kettering are 5th with Altrincham 6th. So if it stays like that then Kettering will make it and leave Altrincham behind. However Altrincham do have a game in hand, win that along with the two others then they will make the Play Offs.

In the Play Offs Southern section we could be joined by another Cambridge club as City have confirmed their position there. Meanwhile Thurrock 66 points, Dorchester 62 points and Lewes 61 points currently make up the remaining places. Teams also in with a shout are many and are as follows Eastbourne 60 points, Hornchurch 60 points, Basingstoke 57 points, Western Super-Mare 57 points and Bishops Stortford 55 points.

Lots of theams there obviously with lots of games in hand. I think it's that some of those teams doing well in The Trophy that has caused so much disruption. Two of them have played ourslves and one of those plus one other played their first Saturday kick off today for three weeks.

So anyway if Thurrock win their next game they'll be confirmed, while Dorchester who are fourth two points ahead of the highest team not in the Play Offs, Eastbourne, Dorchester have played a game more then Eastbourne. The team whose shoes I would like to be in though are Lewes. They have 61 points, are currently a Play Off team and have a game in hand.

Hornchurch have no games in hand and only 60 points, things aren't looking bright for them. Basingstoke are in a worse position with the same amount of games played, 40, but three points less. Meanwhile Western Super-Mare have a game in hand with 57 points three wins would get them 66 points and who can forget little old Bishops Sortford who have four games in hand and 55 points. Win them all and they'll have 67 points, and looking at how late (twice) they left things against us who in their right minds could write them off?

Two unfortunate scenarios which may discount clubs from this shake up.

Cambridge have very serious financial difficulties which may yet put the club out of existence. Heard a fella on the radio a week or so ago who saying the fans as usual are not hearing anything to encourage them to believe they have a future if they fall out of the league.

Hornchurch meanwhile struggle to put together a Creditors Volentary Arangement (CVA) and have less than six weeks left of a stay of execution from the High Court. I have little doubt they will reach agreement and survive, but then we reach the sinister side and no, I'm not talking about the allegations and threats of injunctions. Its looks as though Hornchurch will have a chance to chose to go in to administration early and lose 10 points this season, rather than start next season 10 points behind. The option looks attractive if they can not go up this year, but more importantly are safe from relegation.

If Cambridge City were to win promotion and Cambridge United were to suffer relegation, would it be the first time that two teams from the samer town or city had played in the Conferance together?

Hereford and Chester are both from Wales.

actually, hereford is not in wales for two resons:
1. Hereford is the old capital of the county called herefordshire which is in england.
2. When you drive from wales to hereford (which i do for hereford games) the is a large sign by a pond about 20 miles away from hereford saying WELCOME TO ENGLAND.
