Can we stay up?

Can we pull off the great escape and survive? I would like to know all of your thoughts. Personally, looking at the fixture lists, i dont see why we cant. Any thoughts?

It seems possible, we just need the luck we haven't been getting so far this season... I think its about time we got it! We're owed some luck. And hopefully Rocky and Che will find there scoring boots for the last 2 games.

I looked at the league tables and the fixtures and yeah i agree, our destiny is in our own hands if as the league suggests there are no shock results. I think we will finish one place above and escape by the skin of our teeth.

i see that Grays played a few 'squad' players yesterday, and now with Cambridge gauranteed second, it would be logical for them to rest players before the play-offs.

But I would think they were still after those 100 points tally though. With half their side out they are still a force to be reckoned with. They will keep getting the results I think.

I fail to see how you think you can stay up with your two remaining fixtures, and a five point margin.

 

Plus Newport have to play Maidenhead, so at least one of those teams will move onto at least 47 points. Given your far inferior goal difference to notable Newport, they will stay above you.

We HAVE to win both our games first. Then we want Carshalton to lose both games and either Newport to lose both or Maidenhead to lose both. A draw between those two sides would not be helpful to us.However our goal difference is already better than Maidenheads.

ITS A LONG SHOT,AND REALISTICALLY OUR CHANCES ARE SLIM BUT IT IS A CHANCE WHICHEVER WAY YOU LOOK AT THE PERMUTATIONS.

 

Its really all in our hands. A win at Havant,though unlikely but not impossible, could set us up with a cracker of a final home game v Bishops Stortford. Given the circumstances,should that arise,I strongly believe we can win that one.

however if Carlshalton win next week,then its all over even if we beat Has we need to climb two places, and we can't get above Newport on goal difference if they draw with Maidenhead on the last day.

its a no from me the away games are the reason we are at the bottom, last season i think we win 7 drew 6 lost 8 the season before was much the same, most of our points were from away games, <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/angry.gif" alt="" /> what is it this season win 3 drew 9 not good enough

I reckon we may win at Havant, but to no avail as we rely on too many other results going are way and it won't all happen.

 

The side out yesterday looked in a different class (almost said league) to that out in Feb/March.

It's going to be a tough ask for sure, but hell, I'm sure the boys will give it their best!

Even if they do get relegated I'll still be there cheering them on in whichever league we end up in and cheering from the terraces of Hartsdown Park too!

We were as good as relegated after the St Albans game. At least it means there will be no tension for the last couple of games!

Hope we can do it, need 2 keep an upward trend like never B4 if we have a chance. Like others even if we go down i'l B at the Gate next season & just be glad 4 that alone, once there we can start to rebuild & claw our way back up thru the ranks.
