Great win today....

I must say thats the best we've played at home in a long time. Quality performance all round, and it was great to see a few from open play...

Pity about Stoweys shot off the post, would have been a nice hatrick.

Bowes went off the boil a bit in the second half but other than that everyone played fantastic, man of the match, side show bob, great calming influece at the back.

The new boy Norman played well also unlucky to get a goal on his debut...

Well done everyone...

P.S Am I right in saying, with todays win we go 5th, 2pts behind Dorchester and 4th position?

Congratulations, Hx.

I saw you stuffed a Surrey side, but then I really consider them to be a London side.

(That should start some letters to the times !!)

Great 3 points and, perhaps more importantly, an excellent performance. Jamie won everything in the air as usual, Sideshow is fitting in really well and Coops is a class act. Eric and Stormin' Norman did well in midfield, and Stowey and Keith Martin gave them problems all afternoon. Also, when the substitutions came, the performance did not suffer at all. Well done lads. Looking forward to a really strong finish to the season.

First half we lacked invention and ideas and looked like we might be set for a stalemate all afternoon.

Second half, completley different side. Looked very dangerous and in truth, could have had a couple more. I think words must have been said at half time, and thats the beauty of Tony and Carl. I beleive they are great motivators and that certainly showed in the second half.

Good attendance as well, 703, very impressive but a thankyou has to go to the Sutton supporters who bumped our gate up.

Two games to go so lets have a right ol' knees up at St Albans and give the lads a big send off at home to Hayes.

Up the Urchins!

agreed Raver...a great win...a vital 3 points which means that if we do lose 10 points as we deal with the remaining problems we are still safe in confsouth...

the attendance was very encouraging as well and should serve up a big heap of humble pie to those few amongst us who stated doom and gloom at the turnstyles a couple of months back....don't suppose they'll be big enough to admit that they were wrong...

but hey...everyone is entitled to an opinion...(even my good mate webbo) <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

great result and a great day and well done to all that contributed to it....

st albans are on a high with their new manager colin lippiat working wonders....(we considered colin a while back for the Hx job) and he's certainly working wonders up there so watch out saturday...

and then the stage is set for the last fandango of a very topsy turvey season at home to Hayes.....with presentations on the pitch to follow....

a good turn out for that one I am certain and should be a day to remember....

well done you lot.... <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

You seem to overstate your crowds while we understate ours. All very weird!!!

Yesterday there looked about 750-800 at our game. I was quite surprised when it got listed as just above 500.

It was at an HX game last month, think it was Margate and the attendance was quoted at just over 500 when there looked about 400 there. A fellow Urchin agreed with me. Difficult to tell some times but Maths was never my strong point!!!
