Situation after todays games

Recommended Posts

Were still 8 behind Yeading obviously. They need 5 points to make sure of the title, and they should do that with games against Slough Windsor and Leyton to come. Lets make sure they have to earn it though by winning as many games as possible. Eastleigh are still two behind us, although we have two games in hand and now a better goal difference. Looking down only Eastleigh and Hampton can now catch us, so were guaranteed at least fourth place, although realistically, second place should be ours with 4 games still to play, and others only two. Elsewhere, Braintree lost while Hampton and Leyton won, so Braintree are only in the play off zone by one point now, after taking just 4 points from 6 games.

At the other end of the table Dover are down after losing a key game at Tonbridge, while Harrow and Cheshunt both won. Despite their result Tonbridge will be down unless they take at least 4 points from 2 games, as their goal difference is significantly worse than the teams above. The fourth relegation spot is sure to be as tight as a provebial with Cheshunt below Harrow by only a single goal.

It is most interesting to note that since Braintree and George Borg got involved in a scrap with Hornchurch (and Mr Harding the Chairman was very busy making comments about that situation as well) they have only taken 4 points from a possible 24. Seems as though they have become distracted for the wrong reasons whilst they should have been looking after the interests of the club that pays their wages. The fans have every right to feel let down.

TV, thank you for your concern.

Yes we are keeping a close eye on the 'goings on' at Hx - a few of us are owed a lot of money.

As to the football, we've got two to play and need to win them both to get our play-orf match at New Lodge. Although it could be different if Yeading win next Saturday.

The fans, I'm sure, will remember the progress from this time last year!

Maybe easier but Borg and his boys will try and blow that one if they had the chance...

Still too early to call it though but it is quite amusing seeing Boretree struggle to obtain the play off's what with all the "title decider's" going on over the Boretree Yeading fixture....lol...Over confiedence...now where is my mate from Heybridge.... <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
