ah webbo....nice try once again to embroil yourself in the affairs of Hx....I suppose it does actually make for better entertainment than the dismal results up at your own empire....

what is they say about keeping your own affairs in order....

anyway...if you have a problem with the Hx creditors list I would suggest that the best place to air it is at the creditors meeting...but then again you won't be there will you as you are not owed any money.....

are you...????...

Unc., our affairs at Cressing Road are in order - thank you for your concern. As you would expect, Braintree Town F.C. Ltd. won't be entering a CVA this season or for the forseable future.

As you can imagine, the football is a little more difficult to predict, but our destiny remains in our own hands. A win would be nice tho!

Back to the CVA and yes I believe that my company is a creditor. HSBC will probably re-assign their element of the debt back to us, or give us proxy, and there is the more recent stuff of course. I have written to the directors of the club and Mick to remind them of their E&O.

Incidentally, there do appear to be a number of missing creditors, but I'm sure it will all be tidied up for the 28th.

Oh, and loved that cashflow forecast - very creative. Good luck with it.

Gazza, no beef with Unc, just a little polite conversation. He started it on here so it made sense to reply on here.

As to the footy, yep we're struggling at the mo. It's still in our hands, but even if we get to the play orfs, you'll hammer us for sure.

Happy just to make up the numbers and look forward to life in the Southern League!

much appreciate the advice IW and thanks for pointing out the 'errors' in the creditors list...we'll certainly have that checked and sorted by the 28th of the month....

we're new to this sort of thing you see and it certainly helps to have someone with your experience of cva's and other crisis situations at football clubs onboard to assist us...

I certainly hope that there will be no cva in the future at braintree...but then again I suppose the good folk of st albans didn't expect theirs either...so you never know do you...always best to be on the safe side of these things...

Hmmnnn.

The good folk of St Albans were fully aware of the terms of the first CVA, Uncle. They were trumpeted from the roof tops by the new Chairman at the time proclaiming that he had saved the club!

What they weren't expecting, was that the persons responsible for ensuring that the terms of the CVA were met, in other words honouring the agreement that they had made to repay the monthly sum, would overlook the minor detail of actually doing so. CVA No 1 broken.

In a bit of bother now, those concerned, having spotted a winning formula, negotiated a second CVA. They didn't meet the terms of that one, either. That was anticipated by some.

If you need any advice regarding the various methods of dealing with those to whom money may be owed, UU, there's one place that I wouldn't bother going. Not exactly an unblemished record of success.

Oh, by the way. Someone on here said something to the effect "Why should these businessmen air their grievancies on here". At Clarence Park, a pile of sand was deposited outside the boardroom for a season and a half, apparently used by the chap who used to drive the red tractor for pitch maintenance. A few of us fans at the time believed that it's true purpose was for those various Officials, Non-executive Directors, freeloaders and fans like that one quoted, to stick their heads in while these stupid games were being played with our football club resulting in its suspension from the Ryman League and facing a winding-up order in the High Court.

TC, we were a boundary club this season - next club to us north or west is Histon in Southern Prem. I think there is a very real chance that some or all of the non-Connie South bound Essex clubs could go. The alternative is the Salisbury/Eastleigh duo or the likes of Slough & Windsor. Either way, if you and I aspire for our clubs to, ultimately, play in a national league, the Southern League is a doddle!

Unc, one or two folk need to remember that, if it wasn't for me and my 'experience of cva's' as you call it, there wouldn't be a St. Albans City now, in 2002 or in 1998.

Bit of advice for you if I may. Every now & again - someone has the balls to put their head above the parapet to try and help a debt-striken club out. Fortunes are spent, mistakes are made, but at least they try. Others do bugger all and just throw sticks & stones. I know which I'd rather be.

You'll be all right - so long as you tell the truth. If you do, you'll have my support (for what it's worth!).
