Stevenage!

Recommended Posts

Anyone going? Course you are it's not that far.

Directions can be found here

Train timetable can be found here

Map of Stevenage can be found here

The red circle indicates where the ground is. Don't take the p***, you all know someone was going to ask.

I'll be in the bar from about 13:30 if anyone would like to join me and it is £13.00 (again) to gain entry to the ground.

Before I get any critisim, I did this in my lunch hour, the topics involved here in are in total relation to Gravesend & Northfleet Football Club and no humour is meant to be involved in this post or thread.

Cheers,

Harry

Part of his election campaign - he's got several appointments around Dartford today, seeing as Dartford is a marginal. He was in Gravesend a few days ago. This place is overrun with special branch and dog handlers right now. Another half an hour and he'll be here.

However, with what I've already seen today (before he's even got here), I'll be even more staunchly voting Conservative. I'll explain later, when I'm safely away from here.

Right fun over. Thank **** for that. I think the bloke comes over far worse than he does on t.v.!!!

Both Tony & Cherie have just left on a train bound for Victoria.

He also managed to fit in a 30 minute flying visit to Darenth Hospital. He wouldn't go outside until his car was there to take him though - beggars belief in an election campaign that he didn't want to hang around 'in public' & meet some real people! Perhaps he is confident that he doesn't need to win votes?

Next time your train is late - just ask yourself - how is it that Network Rail can make Tony's train a number one priority but not yours?

Is there a direct service to Victoria from Dartford on a Saturday? Somehow I can't imagine Tony and Cherrie changing at Lewisham! Also FF before you get too luvey dovey with the Conservatives, don't forget that it was the Tories who made the railways worse by breaking up BR. How insane is it to have a different authority responsible for the track, station buildings, the trains etc? Where else in the world have they tried this? The railway infrastructure should be publicly owned again. kmj.

A very good point - our argument was always that if you went into a toy shop & bought a Hornby set, you got the track train & station!

Then again, without privitisation, would we have had all the new trains, etc? Somehow I can't see that the government would have paid for all the new trains you see up and down the country.

Then again, with all the subsidies still paid out, I suppose in effect they have.

The tories will still get my vote on May 5th.
