Must say that as I drove past and looked in I felt a bit dissappointed that there were just 2 men with two little earthmovers. One other guy walking around.(Just as you see it in the new set up "gallery"). Had thought that with all the hype lately that we would be seeing a massive digger moving in. One that could and would do this job in next to no time. Looking inside the ground and at the workman doing their job think this will take some while at the rate of which earth was moving.

Having said that it is a start and its a start I personnally have been looking for. "Just a spade or something" I think I said once. Well we have that so perhaps I am still being a little impatient. Maybe the big machinery and the many other workers will turn up soon. It is the first day so maybe when I look in again in a few days things will have moved on and those other workers

and the bigger machinery will have arrived.

First day, first sign of movement,so whatever it looks like it should be welcomed, and it is.The gallery will be a great guide for us all to see the progress that will unfold.

Well, today I met our groundsman and by what I heard things are going to plan so alls o.k.

What seems slow at the moment is a prelude to other contractors moving in. After the compacting of the soil into the holes left by the archaeologists is done, and this has to be done in layers, then the work will speed up. Contactors in at the moment are from Weston-Super-Mare. Other contractors will follow to continue the work already being done.

From what I have seen this morning its all going well and the flattening and hole filling is showing up well and the difference can now begin to be seen.
