I really should go on to Broadband. It's a bit more expensive but far quicker and you're not blocking up your phone line which causes loads of arguments in my house!!!

Sorry been off to lunch..

The older stuff is a bit harder to access, you might find it on iTunes, but if you download the player you need to make sure it is not the default player and that it does not copy your existing library to AAC format, it can really screw up the hard drive.

Oh and as I said before CZ don't buy an iPod!

Yellow, if you use the net I recommend Tiscali, had it a year or so and it's very good.

Yep - I remember now! Creative Jukebox.

Gonna get myself a 40GB one - don't know how much that will be.

I'll stick with MSN too - at first I only found the Top 40 section, but then realised there's a fair bit of classic stuff there too.

Actually, I pretty much own all the old stuff that I want on CD already, so it's only new releases I'll be buying anyway!

Bravery single for 69p - quality. I almost bought it for £4.99 in HMV on Saturday!!

Good stuff, It's worth getting a player, because if you ever lose the hard drive then you've got a copy.

69p is a good price, but all the legal providers do offer content protection. It means you can only burn the track a certain number of times or transfer the track to an MP3 player a certain number of times, you do have unlimited plays though.

Your 4.99 disc does have some advantages too, because you can control how compressed you want the sound to be and you can burn it however many times you like without the PC telling you that you've run out of burns or transfers for the track. Otherwise it's very good value for money.

For your windows media player you will need to decide how you much compression you want on a track before taking it from a disc. Go in to Windows Media Player, got to Tools, then Options, then CD Audio (or if you have an update it may be CD Ripping) you need to set the compression at 128kbps (which is good) 160kbps (which is better) or 192 kbps (which is not really distinguishable from the original) depends how anal you want to be!

This will have a bearing on how much space your library of music will take up.

That's what I've got mate and I have the creative jukebox software, very easy to use. I got my creative jukebox off e-bay from USA for about £168, your welcome to have a look at it and borrow the software.
