Bryco Cup Final

No flyers as yet.

Marcus, have you been to Staines before? The reason I suggest going along the side is because we'll be under cover. If BFR and I are on song and we can get some good vocals going underneath the covering, we'll be sorted. Trust me, it's a cracking idea...

Staines also has the problem of being very shallow behind both goals. This means that people have to stand single file and stretch out along the entire length of the goal line so vocals are dispersed even further than normal.

Under the cover down the side for this game is definitely the way to go.

Pleeeeeeaseeee. Everyone down the side. In your colours, with ballons and coloured paper and get vocal and behind the team for the entire day. It's a cup final and regardless of the performance or the score, I'm going to get behind the lads for the full 90.

C'mon! All in!

The people who are walking are eternally grateful to STFC for rearranging the Folkestone game which at one stage was provisionally booked on that day!

We shall be starting bright and early on the Thursday to ensure we arrive at our first destination (South of Guildford) in plenty of time to have a shower and be driven all the way back again to Staines for the game.

So, volunteers please for ferrying several weary people from Guildford to Staines and back again afterwards....

The Friday leg of the walk will be so much easier if we can pass the time repeatedly singing "we are the champions"!

Personally, I'm not that keen on the band. A lot of people I spoke to who weren't regulars were actually more put off by the band than they were encouraged to return. The other aspect of it is that without enough voices in the singing, the drum drowns out the voices, and defeats the object a bit.

I have never been to that many Slough Games, I am always doing other things, but the one thing I did enjoy was the band, and this is the one thing I do miss at the games I have attended recently.

If the band doesn't drown out the vocal support and encourages people to join in to create a positive atmosphere, then fantastic. Back in the Conference days, there were the numbers joining in vocally to go over and above the drumming so it was effective. I don't think we have the numbers these days. Another reason to join in with the vocals everyone? <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

I'm sorry...did i just see someone asking if you are doing a coach to...Staines!? Hardly t'other side of the world now is it! You can get a bus for much cheaper from the bus station! £4.20 for a first day ticket on the 41/43!

Woody there are some people who would not like to take the bus to and from the game. Plus how reliable are those buses - i went to get one last week and it never turned up.

Getting the coach is a much more reliable way of getting to the match and experiencing a prematch atmosphere you certainly wont get sitting with chavs on a bus.

true...i tried getting the bus and it din't come so i ended up walking...

However you can also get the train pretty easily! (and cheap)

From the bus sation in staines and the train station it's about a 10 min walk and easy to find. Walk towards the river from the bus station. See the highstreet on your right go left and it's oa 10 min walk down the right hand side!
