anyway.... thought we definately deserved the win, although the ref clearly had no control of the game at any point...a lot of the staines players were climbing all over our boys...dirty bastards...

Christian Metcalfe was immense today, Murphy was reliable and dutifully found the back of the net (Thank the Lord) Josias made a nuisance of himself again to brilliant effect...and anothe clean sheet, surely showing that even in its makeshift form our defense is on the up...not that they had that much to deal with tonight with their no 7 blasting shots wide left and right throughout the game, not mention CJ taking on far too many players and doing nothing to use his (scarily impressive) speed.

 

Also thought Darron had another blinder today and Steer's positioning was good, shame he wasn't spotted everytime.

Good result. Ground out the win against an organised Staines side. Pleasing to keep two successive clean sheets after previous performances although we did have a stroke of luck when they hit the post. Wilko was immense as ever and Mets had a great game.

 

I think that is very close to our best XI with the only changes I would make on last night's performances being:

 

Hodges for Seedel and Harris for Mason (although I thought Mason had a good game).

a great ganme from where i was, very even but we just deserved to get the win, shame that such a good game was spoiled by a crap refereeing performance, that was truely awful!
