Enfield Town v London APSA

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, stop panicking! We got a draw, and a point away from home. Three would have been nice, but one is better than none. We are, as you say, a point ahead of Burnham and have a better goal difference.

There are three more games to go, nine points available and yes we need to go for a win at Burnham. There is no reason why we should not win there.

Keep the faith!

I do not agree Mr Invisible.

A draw at Burnham will be as good as a win. A win just means that the title is decided before the Concorde game. I actually think that Burnham will struggle against Bowers and I do not predict them taking three points there.

As for Basildon - A point may be satisfactory. Even a point at Bas and a draw at Burnham should be enough to get us the title though it will mean short fingernails.

What disappointed me yesterday is that without the experience of Graham and Steve we were not able to hang onto a lead, it is my view that should have been our priority rather than seeking to get a hat full.

Anyway the race is not over till its over.

Well a draw at Burnham (or anywhere of course!) cannot possibly be as good as a win, but would be far better than defeat.

To state the obvious, a win gives us 3 points but denies Burnham any. That would give us a four point advantage, with superior goal difference. This turn would allow us to lose one of the other games, even if Burnham won both of their other games.

A draw would mean that we have to at least match Burnham in the other two games.

In any case, I said we should GO for a win. To play for a draw would be disaster.
