Enfield Town v London APSA

Recommended Posts

Determination. Passion. Will to win. Never say die attitude. All shown by the APSA players last night. Well done!

We didn't help ourselves by not putting away the chance we had, especially in the first half. We tended to make life difficult for ourselves with over complicated moves when a simple pass would have sufficed. Showed when Dean N came on and made Smithy's goal.

Is it me, or can we have Dean G up front as a target man rather than playing behind Smithy? Seems that if he drops back, then we do not have a front man in the box when he passes out wide.

Anyway, makes life interesting but we really should have sewn up the game. I wonder what was said in the dressing room?

Well done to APSA. We kept trying to come forward and left gaps at the back and they exploited them well. They are a good solid team and deserved their draw. We shoiuld have made more of our half chances in the first half, where was Dean all game and Matt had a shocker!

Reading the history of APSA in the programme, it appears that their brief history is impressive and if they keep things going then they should be a mid table side over the next couple of seasons. AFter that, who knows but good luck to them. A nice bunch of guys.

It was awful to be honest, particularly in the second half. The real problem began when Steve Baldwin went off injured, and the resultant reorganisation just did not gel at all. Have we forgotten how to play with three at the back??

Perspective time now: we've got away with it this once, we're still a point up on Burnham, but it now looks as though we may have to beat them on the 23rd. Any more performances like last night though, and its another season in the ESL for us.
