The big sports story over there is not that The Saints top the Ryman Premier League, but rather that the Texas Rangers [Major League baseball] have signed A. Rodriguez [known as A-Rod apparently], a 23 year old short-stop hitter, on a ten-year contract at a guaranteed salary of $252 million. Yes. That's $252,000,000 over 10 years. That's 25.2 MILLION dollars each year.

 

Hmmnn.

I thought A-Rod signed for the Texas Rangers last year when they were ranked the worst "franchise" in MLB. The money wouldn't have anything to do with a certain George W. would it, who either did or does own a stake in the Rangers.
