Matt Lovell

Recommended Posts

i fear this is starting to turn into a hate mail campain against Lovell. there is obviously something happening behind the scenes between the player and Daish so i think we should leave it for them to sort thinngs out, as for you fleetbabe i'm sure you fancy Matt Lovell the same as all of us women fleet fans, so lets not start slagging him off.

On a serious note, both Walshie and Lovell offer a lot of options on the left flank, possibly with Lovell being the more versatile of the two. I am not always convinced that a player ever lives up to the expectations of the crowd when they come back for a 2nd tour.

We have all moved on, best to remember that flowing mullet down the wing, a drop of the shoulder, a burst of pace then a decent cross for Haworth to power home.

Aaaahhhh, fond memories.

Quite right C.G. particilarly as the last time Walshie featured on this forum was as an oversized lardbucket who had eaten all the pies.

Lovell did go off in a strop on Saturday but I would sooner see a player p*ss*d off at not being out there than one who is happy to be injured or on the bench.

Lovell isn't the finished article but he could potentialy be very good....we don't have many players on our books who could be better next season than this, it is the managers job to get the most out of the players, I should think Daish can manage Lovell.

Not at all. I'm not the only one who was shocked by his behaviour. Even Surey said he was shocked that Matt never shook his hand.

As for fan of the fleet's comment, you couldn't be more wrong. I wouldn't fancy Matt Lovell if he was the last man on this earth. I didn't mean for this to turn in to a hate campaign.

Walshie would be a big asset to the side, and I for one would love to see him and his mullet back in the red and white.

Which is presumably why you want Lovell out and Walshe in.

It's a mistake to keep looking backwards at players that have left the club, particularly those that couldn't manage a berth in another Conference side.

Have to agree, Dave - Walshe never massively impressed me either, and I feel his crossing wasn't quite as strong as others have suggested. I still have happy memories of his brace at Dagenham though.

I had absolutly no idea this had happened how could this completely pass me by, this is so weird. I never knew he got called Rousy. It's like at Barnet this season I never knew Moore had been sent off 'til I got home and at Chelsea on Wednesday we left early to beat the traffic but when we got over by the gate I realised I had dropped my mini disc player, I had to go back and get it.

When I came up the steps to where you can see the pitch I saw the cross come in that led to the penalty by the time I had got all the way to the back found picked up my mini disc player and back down the steps the penalty would have been taken, but again I had no idea.

Beginning to think Mr Holden doesn't know talent when he sees it. First Drury now Walshe. Proved to be Conference level with us, can't understand why he's playing at a lower level. Won't forget that performance at Stevenage, especially that run that produced the first goal. Quality.

Just because I like Jukebox doesn't mean I have a thing for Walshie too. My mate used to fancy him, and he did look good in the red and white.

It seems such a shame that he went from playing at QPR, to us, and the fact that we didn't offer him a contract means that he has dropped down another league just to play first team football.

As for Lovell, he shouldn't, as I've said all along, have reacted towards Ben Surey in the way he did. It wasn't as if Surey had decided that Lovell was to come off so that he could go on for the last 20 minutes.

Lovell was still being stroppy at half five, well after the game had finished. He stormed into the bar, grabbed his girlfriend (not literally) and stormed back out again. Not a good attitude.
