...i know it hasn't been the most successful of seasons (to say the least), but i have enjoyed this season (i must sound insane). I have enjoyed many games (for example Maidenhead away, Thurrock away, Cray at "home, and, to some extent, Bognor away). I would just like to thank some of the fans who i have watched the gate with this season: ad, den and daveo; butler and bodyform; saints fans; delia (lol <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />)and her family; and the Kirby family. To any of you who i have forgot to mention, many thanks too.

I will, of course, still support the team next season, and hope to see all of you there, back home! But, thanks to all of you for supporting the team this season.

Margate til i die, i'm margate til i die, i know i am, i'm sure i am, i'm margate til i die

I have to admit I have felt so much more a part of everything this year, maybe partly because there have been fewer of us so you recognise everyone! But more than that I think it was the demonstration that welded us all together, and not just the ones that were there, but the ones who could not go but were there in spirit along with us. Fantastic atmosphere at the games, and yes, Maidenhead was the ultimate in chanting and singing and dare I say winning too. Although I liked Dagenham & Redbridge, Bognor, and Cray in the fog, particularly the second half!

But for sheer atmosphere and a sense that we all belonged to something worthwhile, the demonstration does it for me every time.

The forum has been fun too, and a lifeline for when we have had nothing particularly positive to hear. So I appreciate all the regulars who take the time to post, agree with them or not.

I think our most frustrating season, has co-incided with our best season as supporters of the club, we're loud and enthusiastic, if we can take this spirit with us back home, and infect a few others close to us into becoming regulars, well then we're half way there already. Every game has been a pleasure to go to, as was the demonstration. And i look forward to seeing you all at the last game and beyond!

I must say that the demo and maidenhead away were the highlights for me .I think that it was at maidenhead that the choir first found its voice and we have gone from strength to strength .I look forward to seeing you all next season . Margate saint .

I echo all that has been said about the highlights this year. Though I didnt witness as many games as others I too have made new friends(and possibly enemies) and the Demo was a turning point I believe. That night we really felt the council were going to pull the plug so we got off our bums and decided to show them just what the club meant to us. The sight of all of us outside cheering and singing surely gave us time. Time that I strongly believe was up, until our voices were heard. I know people keep on about it being down to me but as I have said previously on many occasions all I did was to get it o.k.d by the relevant authorities. The rest was all solely down to you lot out there. If it hadnt been for that demo and your attendance in numbers I really believe we wouldnt be here still fighting for exsistence. I was proud of every one that night.

But, but, we have an even bigger memory coming up to be proud of and thats the start on the ground. Now that will be a memory that will stay with me for a long time because that is what this fight has been all about. O.k. so on the pitch we may falter. I take some blame there as I offered my mortgage on staying up. Sorry guys. But it was really a positive remark more than a facual statement. Anyway I dont have a mortgage.

I apologise to many people who have disagreed with some of my remarks and to those I may have angered but I too am a realist, but sometimes we have to express ourselves in a positive mode regardless of what we think inside. Sometimes we get things wrong and I am no exception.

Its been a real pleasure getting to know you all this year and next year, possibly in the Ryeman we will come back stronger than before. We will have the right manager in place to get us back up at the first attempt anyway.(lets not forget Kevins part in this ether).

As a last remark I would say it was nice also to meet up with old school pals. They know who they are. You are all a great bunch and its been a pleasure working alongside of you all. But hey,it may not be finished yet. We may have to come together again and we all know now just what the fans of MARGATE FC. can do if they really want to.

Passion and loyalty is the name of the game, and thats one game we are good at. And will CONTINUE to be good at.
