BTW, "lager" is German for "to store". This particular beer is going to have to be stored for quite a long time (high OG; highish a.b.v. although, being a Russian Imperial Stout it may have a lot of body and perhaps quite a bit of residual sweetness which would lower the a.b.v.). So it will be a lagered ale (sort of). Anyway, I once brewed a pale lager (I take it you're not hankering after Herold Schwarzbier or some other dark lager here) which eventually blew its head all over my carpet. It looked a bit like this one except the head wasn't as brown. And it was bad enough having to wear a coat indoors 'cos the central heating was turned down to about 4C for about a month! As you can tell, I only ever brew lager at xmas (if at all).
