Well, another season draws to a close, with all it's ups & downs, changes of personnel & differences of opinion.

How about finishing with a party atmosphere ?

Let's go in fancy dress and/or St Georges regalia ?

Have a few beers....enjoy the day....have a laugh.....ignore the moaners...who knows...may even win 5-0 ?

Let's be 'avin yer !

Cheers,

One good thing though Hirsty.... you will be easy to spot in the crowd... and you may even get on the telly...!! Just don't dress up as Batman, else you will branded a 'Gay'..!

There are quite a few organised events that are organised to celebrate St George’s Day this year, and as I didn’t think that the club were doing anything I have opted to spend the day at a very large event in Gravesend, and then another separate event in the evening. I’m not sure how these events will affect attendances but the daytime event had about 700 tickets available with a further 500 for the evening.

If only organiser at GNFC had the forward thinking to realise that people were interested in celebrating St Georges’s Day. An organised event in the clubhouse, incorporating entery to the match could have added a couple of hundred people to the attendance. Another wasted opportunity. I did ask a few weeks back on here but nobody seemed keen. I would have been able to have sold a couple of h8undred tickets no problem – now the tickets I have are for another even which means the club miss out.

I’m not going to advertise where celebrations are organised this year because I realise that this is a club website and that any advertisement could result in a diminished attendance for the club.

The fact remains that last year there was a very successful St George’s Day celebration in Gravesend with perhaps 200 or so people attending what was a brilliant evening event. This year due to the sheer volume of people who didn’t get tickets last year expressing an interest, two very large events have been organised, one an all-day family event, one an evening event.

I would have liked to have seen the club organise an event, perhaps a family event, incorporating the cost of match tickets and then some kind of formal evening function – there didn’t seem to be much interest so alternative plans have been made.

Yeh...cheers for that !! So I "jog" onto the pitch after the game....only to find I am the only one...and then get "done" by the stewards.....who will then call for police back up....and then 3 wagons will turn up.....and in the great democratic scheme of things...I get a 5 year jail term for making a dent in the pitch, which is construed as criminal damage....and then I will probably be informed that I pose a threat to national security !!

Paranoia ? Persecution complex ?? Not at all !! (Yep !)

Nah.....I'll just have a beer in the bar thanks !!

Cheers,

I'm bringing a pal along for the last game, trouble is he is a bit shakey on his pins and will need to sit in the stand. Can I take him in thru the away end turnstiles to get to the stand, so that he does not have to much of a walk.

Any spare wheelchairs around.

I'll be there, looking forward to it as well. Apparently I have a surprise lined up. My dad has been plotting with Macca at the last couple of home games, and refuses to tell me what's going on!
