Bryco Cup Final - At Staines???

A message on the Hampton forum suggests they have had it indicated to them that the Bryco Cup final will be held on Thursday 28th April at Staines. It'll be interesting to see if this holds any truth.

If true, a shame

 

a) for the walkers, and

 

for the players - surely another date can be found to save sandwiching it between a home game against Heybridge and the away day at Worthing.

 

I know I'm stating the obvious above, but it just seems silly that, seemingly, it can't be played after April 30th. However the location obviously suits both sets of fans (walkers excepted). As you say, will be interesting to see the final decision.

The location most certainly does suit the walkers! We've been worried that it will be played at Hornchurch that night. If in Staines then it won't be too diffcult to get ourselves to the game

Hampton have their Middlesex Cup Final replay on the 26th as well, so it's not as thought we'd be adversely affected by playing on the 26th.

I personally hope it isn't in Staines. Crap ground where all the supporters behind the goal have to stand in a single file line. Although given that is potentially being played after I have walked 27 miles I might be retiring to the stand in any event.

just looked at the isthmian site, they have put the cup final on our fixture list on the 28th!

I'd put money on a Heybridge win against the Rebels two-days earlier though, cos I can't imagine Eddie wanting to play anyone who will play in the final two days before!

if you live in Slough ARAAS you can get the 41/43 into staines.

 

From the bus stop it's about a 10/15 min walk
